Design And Implement For Imported Single Part Purchase System Of Shanghai Volkswagen

The basis of auto parts in China is not very good, and the auto enterprises rely on imported parts. There is often no good imported part purchase system. Some enterprises rely on the joint venture partner, some use Excel, and some have started to develop its own system.If everything starts from zero, it's very difficult.From another point of view, this article introduces implementation of imported single part purchase system of Shanghai Volkswagen based on SAP system. The R/3 system has a large number of pre-standard materials management functions and adapts to a lot of business models. These functions have been achieved through the system configuration. If there is no standard function, the appropriate secondary development of the ABAP program is needed.In order to realize the system, following studies are needed:1) Establish the business model: Imported parts have many types, a great quantity and long purchasing cycle. A viable business model is needed to guarantee the vehicle production at the condition of the little quantity of inventory and capital stock.2) Standard function of SAP R/3 system: R/3 is an ERP software developed after the analysis of many successful enterprises. The system has a large number of pre-standard material management functions and adapts to a lot of business models. These functions have been achieved through the system configuration. I have made good use of SAP's standard function to meet the business model. If there is no standard function, the appropriate secondary development of the ABAP program is needed. 3) Gross demand interface: Order, forecast and BOM of the vehicle is in the Group system. Inventory, purchasing orders and other information in Shanghai Volkswagen's SAP R/3 system. Therefore, the gross demand interface is set up between SAP and Group system.4) Delivery schedule interface: Delivery schedule should be transferred from SAP to the Group system.5) ASN Interface: Group system sends the ASN information into the SAP system.At present, the enterprise has successfully implemented the system, achieved good results and got great economic benefits.Stock funds of imported parts fell down from 2.74 billion to 870 million. So the enterprise obtains direct economic benefits 58,760,000 RMB.Freezing period reduces from 11 weeks to 8 weeks and becomes shortest in all overseas joint venture companies(without considering differences of shipping schedules).Shanghai Volkswagen has gained valuable of 3 weeks in the automotive market.
