Under the policy guidance of developing modern service industry in China, road transportation, which existing transportation products or services cannot meet the needs of the customer as the traditional service, must implement the transformation from the traditional service industry to modern service industry based on the modern service philosophy.This paper adopts the combined methods of standardize research and empirical research, analyses the transformation motive, meaning and mechanism of road transportation industry from traditional service to modern service, and constructs the evaluation system of service transition of road transportation. Realizing the transformation of road transport industry from traditional service to modern service, which is not only based on industrial developing, responding to national policy, but also meeting customer demands better, enhancing the organization, management and competitiveness of modern transportation enterprises. Again, this article studies the service transition basic model of road transport industry from four aspects of service transformation: basis, keys, means and enhance, which are road transportation service providing system, service innovation, service processing and standardization, and service culture. And then, this paper is trying to build the evaluation systems from the perspectives: the CSS three-phase evaluation, service culture assessment and relationship evaluation between customers and enterprises, and relevant indicators for the main evaluation index system. This model is used for the evaluation of transformation status of Wuxi Passenger Transport Co. Ltd. Finally, the empirical analysis on Wuxi Passenger Transport Co. Ltd., which not only verify the reliability of the road transportation transition assessment model, and also provide the countermeasures for the further development of Wuxi Passenger Transport Co. Ltd.
