Economic Features Of Modern Service Cluster And Their Evaluation

With the arrival of the era of the global services economy, the modern serviceindustry has become the leading industry of many developed countries due to itshigh-tech, high value-added features, and also become a hot academic research topicat home and abroad. At present, China is in the high-speed stage of economicdevelopment. The development of modern service industry is of highly realistic andhistorical significance for promoting sound and rapid national economy, acceleratingsocial progress in an all-round manner, and realizing the national strategy of buildingan innovation-oriented country and harmonious society. Cluster is an important formof the modern service industry development, To develop modern service cluster betteris a vital part of regional and even national development, also a key link to participatein the competition of regions.The development of the economic features can measure a cluster’s developmentto some degree and decide how strong the cluster effect is. Currently, our theoreticalcircles have studied manufacturing cluster thoroughly, and gained some achievements.However, there are more to explore in the study of the economic features of modernservice cluster, which would be significant to the future development of modernservice cluster practice. In this paper we studied on three types of modern servicecluster cases at home and abroad including the central business district (CBD), thehigh-tech park, cultural and creative park, summed up the modern service cluster has rembeddedness, network and creativity economic features, as well as the factors thataffect them. Put forward a multi-index evaluation model to assess the economicfeatures of the modern service cluster by a Matlab processing platform from theaspects of economic system, social and cultural system, and management system, andeventually come to the impact weights of various indicators to the overall system.Afterwards, take Guangzhou CBD as a test case of the assessment model, draw basic conclusions and targeted recommendations for the construction of the modern servicecluster from the view of fostering economic features.
