| This thesis mainly does research on Guangdong's industrial development from the perspective of quality of industrial growth under the conditions of new Industrialization. We do an overall measure of quality of industrial growth in Guangdong province by setting up a relevant indicator system, and study the main factors affecting the quality of Industrial growth by factor econometric and factor analysis, in order to give policy recommendations of increasing the quality of industrial growth and promoting the process of new industrialization in Guangdong province.First, based on the former research, the thesis builds an indicator system that include twelve indicators in five aspects, economic benefit, technological level, resource efficiency, environmental benefit and human resource, to measure the quality of industrial growth. We use this indicator system to measure the quality of industrial growth of Guangdong from2000-2008. We find that Guangdong's industrialization has been rapid development after the reform, and its industrial development began to shift focus from the number to quality-oriented, however, lack of innovation resulting in the relative weakening industrial competitiveness in Guangdong province.Second, through analysis of specific indicators, we think that the main gaps between Guangdong and other high industrial growth quality areas are technological level, resource efficiency and environmental benefits. Quantity and structure have no or negative correlation with the quality of industrial growth, the advantage index, ownership and scale have some correlation with it. These all show the difference between traditional and new industrialization.In addition, this thesis also gives policy recommendations to Guangdong's future industrialization. It thinks the transform of Guangdong towards the high industrial growth quality areas and the structure adjustment of low-level industries towards the high level will be the mains train of Guangdong's industrialization in the future. |
