Reaserch On Home Appliances Based On The Life Cycle Theory

The relationship of environmental protection and economic and social development in today's international community is the issues of common concern. Over the last decade,countries have achieved this consensus: population, resources,environment and development among the four who had inter-related. Rational use of resources and creating a sustainable society, we must establish some new ways of production and consumption patterns to protect the environment effectively. Along with the development of technology, people's life level is becoming more and more hihger. People have been shared the plentiful fruits got by technological advancement. But when enjoying the convenience and comfort got by the wholeness industrial products, people also give a big consumption of nature resources and energy,and pullute the whole world.Into the beginning of 2010, Energy conservation, Low-carbon life, Green environment, which have been surrounded among us attract our eyes. The concept of Energy-saving appliances have been branded deep on the mark to thousands of families. Environmental awareness among consumers is going to be better.Today, Home appliances consumption has gradually developed to a new indirection. Some low-carbon appliances, such as, low-carbon fridge, low-carbon air conditioning, low-carbon television, become the first choice for consumers nearly.However, the life cycle theory of products is a study on"from the cradle to the grave". Now,this is a trend that we get it into the design of home appliances. It considered the whole process of development on home appliances that The life-cycle theory is applied to it's designs. The whole process include to obtain raw materials, products, boxing, transportation, using, until the final disposal of waste after use. So, it's called"low-carbon"home appliances. It is helpful for designer to determine the environmental impact of home appliances, to find the measures of reducing environmental impact, and not to miss each stage and each environmental factor.Based on this background,the life cycle theory andthe status of home appliances are summarized. And combining the life cycle theory and the characteristics of home appliances, a design strategy of proudct is formed trough the life cycle theory in this paper. Such a strategy could help the company to change the social, environmental and economic benefits, and improve their competitive ability, and won the internationnal makets.
