With the emergence of human civilization, tourism developed along with social progress. As we march into the 21st century, tourism industry in particular has seen tremendous changes. The rapid growth in the number of tourists, speedy increase in revenues from tourism, and large scale industrial development invariably demonstrate the vitality of tourism as an emerging industry. It is a well-known fact that the tourism industry propels the country's economy and civilization, a flourishing tourism industry bring about a whole host of benefits, such as increasing foreign exchange earnings, and providing increased employment opportunities. In view of the enormous returns from thriving tourism, many countries have formulated and adopted a series of policies and strategies aimed at promoting and championing tourism.Africa touted a cultural and historic heritage which is unique in the world, and is also blessed with scenic beauty and magnificent landscapes. With 56 countries and territories, each with its unique lures and attractions, the country is highly diverse in terms of its climate, culture, and other tourism resources. Tourists around the world flock to Africa to pay homage to the majestic deserts in the North, as well as the spectacular nature and wildlife in the South. There is now greater depth and breadth in the international research efforts on African tourism. However, most of these researches tend to be descriptive in nature, with little emphasis on quantitative research methods. There is still very little research efforts on integrated tourism resources in Africa, not to mention analysis of Africa's tourist attraction based on tourism resources. The rapid development of international tourism and the China-Africa cordial cooperation partnership have been taken into consideration. The tourism resources of popular tourist destinations in Africa, as well as the political climate, economic and cultural background of Africa. Have also been factored in. A top-down approach is adopted, first through dividing the tourism resources in Africa into different tourism regions, then drilling down to a more comprehensive assessment of the tourism resource availability and development, as well as the tourism economic situation in each region and its respective countries. A preliminary analysis of Tourist Attractiveness in Africa is conducted using theories and methodologies of Tourism and Mathematics. By means of a questionnaire, an aggregate score of the Tourist Attractiveness in African countries is derived. The AHP Analysis method is also employed to evaluate the appeal of major tourist countries in Africa to international visitors. With scores computed from all these data, the main African tourist countries are ranked in terms of their attractiveness to tourists, and the results of the ranking are verified against the number of international visitors to Africa over the years. Finally, based on the analyses, a number of development proposals are crafted to increase Africa's tourist attraction.
