Heilongjiang forest region is the largest forest region in China. With the depletion of recoverable resources and the significant reduction in timber production, state-owned forestry enterprises are facing enormous challenges as an economic pillar of forestry. The production technology, methods, administration mode of the original state-owned forestry enterprises can not meet the current needs of economic development. The limited timber resources can not be used effectively because of backward production technology, low productivity, outdated equipment, low quality of workers, and poor awareness of quality. Forestry enterprises are different from the general manufacturing. Some of the features of its own make it a more extensive management, energy consumption, waste of amazing, high input, low output, product quality, and poor production environment. To change the status, the forestry enterprises must change the whole system on industrial forestry enterprises timber production system research, analysis, design, improvement and optimization, and change the production technology and management methods. Industrial Engineering is the method to achieve the overall objectives of companies advanced science and technology.Industrial Engineering uses effectively of human, financial, material, information, time and other business resources to the best quality based on scientific method. Industrial Engineering brings satisfaction and happiness to people by competitive price, timely delivery of marketable products and services, and people-oriented.The thesis chooses a forestry enterprise of Heilongjiang Province as an example. The timber production system is divided into cutting area of production, transportation and yard timber production of three parts. First, the paper researches production process of wood cutting area, logging mode, equipment update with program analysis, hierarchical analysis, and breakeven analysis. Second, the paper researches timber transport system with LP and MATLAB. Third, the paper researches the Yard Layout with the SLP. Last, the paper researches timber production site of the forestry enterprises with "7S" and "QCC".Industrial Engineering is currently no application in forestry production. The thesis tries to use Industrial Engineering into forestry production. Industrial Engineering filled timber production in forest industries in the application blank, which for the forest industries to improve production efficiency, improve product quality, reduce costs, reduce energy consumption, improve competitiveness, and establishing a modern enterprise system.
