The previous studies on the turnover intention of employees rarely refer to the psychological factors. This study uses knowledge staffs in the construction engineering field as the study object in order to explore the impact of work pressure source on the turnover intention, and test the mediating effects of organizational commitment and career commitment. The study consists of two parts:First, the theory preparation; Second, the empirical study. This study mainly uses the factor analysis, correlation analysis, variance analysis, regression analysis and path analysis to test the hypothesis. The main conclusions are as following: the work pressure source consists of five dimensions, such as work pressure itself, role pressure, organizational structure and atmosphere pressure, career development pressure and interface pressure between work and life. There are some variances of demographic variables in the work pressure source and the turnover intention for knowledge staffs in the construction engineering field. There exist significant correlations between the work pressure source of knowledge staffs in the construction engineering field and the organizational commitment or the turnover intention, but there isn't any correlation between the work pressure source and the career commitment. The organizational commitment plays a mediating role between the work pressure source and the turnover intention, and so does the career commitment between the organizational commitment and the turnover intention. In the end, some management recommendations are suggested according to the study findings, and the limitations and the prospects of the study are pointed out.
