The project of large-scale engineering which covers a wide range of fields is complex and time-limited. It needs a lot of human resource, material, financial time and other resources. How to plan the process of project and make the human, material and financial resources to be reasonable arrangement and to the implementation process in control, plays a important part in project progress of modern management. Traditional projects are large project management techniques make the plan for the project focused on the back of the task of the logical relationship, don't pay a attention to the constraint of resources for the project schedule, and traditions of the project management techniques make progress in implementing the project plan, often appear to postpone the project and the schedule which lost their real meaning of the plan guide. On the base of analysis the defects which exist in traditional project management, and combine with the technique of critical chain, this paper obtain the management methods which could eliminate restrict factor influence effectively and the control system which to reduce the random to the influence of the project plan. this work is divided into six sections:The first part is introduction, which briefly introduces the background of the topics, the research significance and the main research content of this paper.The second part is the theoretical basis, expound the progress of the project management of several basic theory, the traditional events in the management of the problem, and critical chain technology to improve project management.The third part analyses how to raise the utilization rate of resources and setting the buffer from the fixed quantity angle.The fourth part is the control theory, create a chain of events based on the critical chain technology of the control system.The fifth part is an example of application, the second group of heavy plate project of XISC, the critical chain technology is applied to the project plan, and traditions of the project management and technical application of the comparative analysis.The sixth part is the summary and expectation of the above. The summary not only summarize the main viewpoints, but also point out the disadvantages and bring forward the prospects.
