In today's environment of rapid development, performance management h as been received in depth use of in the organization. Managers use perform ance management methods to evaluate the performance of employee and the organization, and also,it can be used to measure the organizational develo pment. However, in recent years, with the depth study rapid, scholars have begun to put forward that performance management is not simply focus on the establishment of performance evaluation indicators, performance manage ment is not simply to assessment and evaluation, but also should be concer ned about the use of performance evaluation results,that mean performance improvement. In the organization, the organization's goal is to be achieved by individual staff performance affects organizational performance, and the o rganization is directly related to the rise and fall. Knowledge workers are th e core strength of the organization is the organization of knowledge accumu lation and use of force, their work efficiency and performance to a consider able extent, determine the organization can achieve the intended goals, the r elationship between the organization's future development. The use of the ch aracteristics of knowledge workers to increase their level of performance, or ganizational performance management process is an important aspect, but als o the fundamental requirement of the actual operation managers, but also th e urgent need for self-development staff. Therefore, the scientific and reason able development of a knowledge-based employee performance improvement system for improving the knowledge-based employee performance standards, and achieve significant organizational strategy. This paper has the characteri-stics of knowledge workers combined with performance improvement theory, analyzes the current status of performance improvement, and affect the perf ormance of knowledge workers, the reasons for doing in-depth analysis, on this basis, the right knowledge workers to conduct performance improvement system explored. This first chapter sets out the first study of the background and signifi cance, followed by review of literature at home and abroad, introduced a pe rformance improvement of the status quo. From foreign research and develo pment point of view, the current performance improvement with professional associations and publications, in medical training, social and public sectors, and so the used more often. And make use of knowledge management, E-Learning and Electronic Performance Support System (EPSS) and other deve lopment, is also useful in many areas, space for development. Lagging beh ind the development of domestic over foreign, initially as an educational tec hnology to explore new areas of development, then get the attention of ente rprise management, with scholars from management, human resource develop ment perspective began to study performance improvement. Finally, this pap er describes the research ideas and methods.The second chapter relates to the relevance of this theory are described. The first is an overview of knowledge workers, defining the meaning of k nowledge workers, and further analysis of the characteristics of knowledge workers, according to its own characteristics and work characteristics of sum med up and divided into the explicit features and inherent characteristics. Se cond, the article describes the performance improvement theory, divided into the definition of performance and performance improvement, performance i mprovement features and performance improvement model.Chapter III search of the major research-based employee performance im provement of knowledge of the status quo. Using a questionnaire method, fr om the concept of performance improvement, performance improvement met hods, employee participation in performance improvement, performance impr ovements in the assessment, etc. were investigated. At the organizational level, affecti ng the performance of knowledge workers, main factors are incentives, orga nizational structure, opportunities and job characteristics. Factors in the envir onment, knowledge workers need a good working environment, such as wor kplace layout, work the necessary conditions, also need their equipment, tool s and resources have certain requirements, which are knowledge-based work ers to produce high performance, enhanced support and helpful.Chapter V is designed to improve system performance of knowledge wor kers. In determining the performance improvement of the overall system des ign ideas and principles, this paper discussed in chapter IV of the reasons p ut forward an improved method. This includes:(a) to carry out targeted trai ning; (b) to provide performance counseling; (3) a focus on staff motivation; (d) to change the leadership style; (5) work design; (6) update technology and tools. Finally, employee performance improvement of the knowledge-ba sed system provides a complete implementation of security, on the one hand, it is necessary and guaranteed the smooth implementation of performance i mprovement, on the other hand, to enhance the capacity of performance im provement practitioners managers.Finally, the paper summarized the performance improvement is an ongoi ng process, and the implementation of performance improvement in an orga nization is also very important.Given the complexity of the issues of choice and the author's own lack of theory and practice, making this writing there are still some shortcomings of its analysis and understanding of the problem is not enough in-depth, in the performance improvement system design, there are still some is not sp ecific enough measures.
