Research On Information Technology Capabilities And Partnerships To The Impact Of The Supply Chain Performance

Since the 20th century in nineties, especially step into the 21st century, the world's science and technology has largely improved, economic integration process has also greatly accelerated in such a competitive external market environment, the individual enterprise is very difficult to rely solely on its own strength to survive. Today's competition has moved from competition between enterprises and the enterprises to competition between supply chains, the market has also gradually turned from seller's to buyer's. In such circumstances,anyone who can seize the ever-changing market information, who can swiftly respond to customer's unique needs and timely provide low-cost products and services with high-quality,then who will finally be able to win customers and market shares. However, this customer's unique need is often beyond the capacity of individual enterprises, it requires close collaboration within related enterprises in order to achieve it. Of course,in order to reduce costs and enhance performances of the entire supply chain,we must carry out a series of measures to fulfill them. Therefor, this study is hoped that through empirical analysis of manufacturing enterprise to predict whether information technology capabilities and partner relationships have an positive influence on the improvement of supply chain management capability and the improvement of supply chain performance, as well as to predict whether the upgrading of information technology capacity has an positive influence on the closeness of partnership.In the past,many scholars focused on the information technology in the supply chain management and the relationship between partnership and supply chain management.But studys about information technology capacity and supply chain capacity were few. Based on past literatures,this study would discuss the impact of information technology capacity and partership on both supply chain management capability and supply chain performance in an managerial view and we use chengdu and chongqing manufacturing enterprises as the object of our study.The major findings of this study are as follow:1. Information technology capabilities would positively predict supply chain management capabilities.2. Closeness of partnership would positively predict supply chain management capabilities.3. Information technology capabilities would positively predict closeness of partnership.4. Supply chain management capability would positively predict supply chain performance.
