Research On The Investment Environment Of Pharmaceutical Industry In Chengdu

This article does the research mainly on the investment environment of Pharmaceutical Industry in Chengdu. In the first part, it introduces the theories about the investment environment. Both the foreign theories and the domestic are included. The theories about investment environment appeared much earlier in the west than in china, and that economists in the west have got many results in this field. The differences about those theories between the west and china will be compared in detail with A summary in the end of the first part.In the second part, it's an analysis about the overall investment environment of Chengdu. Many indicators will be chosen to describe the environment in Chengdu. The data of these indicators will be used in the mathematical analysis, which is often known as the Factor Analysis. The level of the investment environment in Chengdu can be vividly shown with the score came out from the analysis model. This conclusion can take role in all of the industries in Chengdu, so does that for the medical industry. The next parts of this article will use this conclusion.The third part is the most important for this paper. In this part, both the methods of Empirical Analysis and Normative analysis are taken in. the empirical analysis use much data of the medical industry in Chengdu, and a comparison of investment environment between Chengdu and other cities is also done to make out the advantages or disadvantages for Chengdu. Two innovations are in this part. One is that analysis about pulling effect and rate of contribution about investment will done. This is the clearest difference between this paper and others. The other innovation is that it uses the methods of SWOT analysis. "S" is the short term of strength, "W" the weakness, "O" the opportunity, and "T" the threat. This kind of method is rarely used in the analysis of investment environment. What's more, this part takes focus on the industry rather than that in the second part.The last part is the suggestions for Chengdu to improve the level of the investment environment. Overall, Chengdu has an opportunity now and should take good use of that or it will lose back.
