China's modern rural tourism activities have already developed for more than 20 years.Especially since entering into the new century ,rural tourism activities have generally been on the upsurge in almost all the areas of China under the uncreasing impetus of tourism markets and the inspiration of many national policies.Meanwhile,the scale and the quality have also obtained comprehensive enhancement.Up to the present,rural tourism activities have become an important way of leisure and vacations for Chinese inhabitants.While With the modernization and urbanization process accelerated,rural tourism are increasingly favored by people.Despite China's rural tourism starts late,it develops rapidly especially recent years.However,in comparison with foreign countries,China's rural tourism development is still at an early stage in the development process there are still many problems.The rural tourism research is at an early stage.As to the rural tourism marketing,both theoretical research and practical operation,there is lot to be desired.These problems fundamentally restricted the sustainable development of tourism in rural China.However,with the further development of rural tourism,the tourist demand level has also been continuously improving,which raises the new and much higher demands to the exploitation of rural tourism.The exploitation of domestice rural tourism,including that of Jilin province,is faced with various problems.It is necessary to conduct continual summing-up as well as exploration in theory and to learn from the advanced experiences in practice.This paper summarizes the research status of rural tourism at home and abroad, and selects the sample and combines with the examples of Jilin province rural tourism,explores the development of rural tourism marketing road in Jilin province. It has the double meaning of theory and practice to supplement the atomistic rural tourism marketing case studies,instruct the scientific development of rural tourism and enhance the competitiveness of rural tourism to achieve sustainable development of tourism.
