Empirical Research On The Effect Of Entrepreneurial Activity On Chinese Economic Growth

The 21st century is the era of "entrepreneurship". As the bridge which finally transforms technological innovation achievement into actual productivity, entrepreneurial activitie makes an increasingly significant contribution to the economic sustainable development. Chinese economic development is in an adjustment period. In order to reduce the exploitation strength and intense dependence of ecological resources and adjust the economic growth engine of innovation in time, Chinese government made the strategic choice of"achieve self-initiated innovation, building the innovative country". Therefore, in the call of this development flag and in the severe situation of global financial crisis, making certain the effect of entrepreneurial activity on Chinese economic growth has the great significance to recognize the current situation of entrepreneurial development, improve entrepreneurial environment, and promote the development of entrepreneurship to achieve the transformation of economic growth pattern and development strategy.Combining with the actual situations in our country, this thesis has been studying that whether there was a long-term and potential effect of entrepreneurial activities on economic growth in 31 Chinese regions, evaluating the contribution power of entrepreneurial activities on economic growth through constructing the driving model, and making suitable policy suggestions about Chinese entrepreneurial activity development.The specific way is: 1) This thesis chooses the CPEA index as a metrics of the entrepreneurship's activity level in Chinese various regions basing on the analysis method provided by GEM and Chinese GEM study team's CPEA index measuring analysis approach, makes certain the significance and correlation of the entrepreneurial activities'effect on economic growth in Chinese various regions through time sequence analysis and using SPSS16.0 and Eviews5 software. Results indicate: on the whole, the entrepreneurial activity dose promote economic growth in Chinese various regions, and especially plays a positive promoting role in the future economic growth. 2) Basing on the above analysis results and the models built by David B Audretsch and Erkko Autio etc, this thesis constructs the driving model of entrepreneurship activities'effect on Chinese economic growth.3) This thesis divides Chinese regions into four types of areas with different entrepreneurship's activity level according to various CPEA value, calculates respectively the effect of entrepreneurial activities on Chinese economic growth in various regions on the overall situation and in four various areas through driving model and SPSS16.0 software, then makes linear regression analysis and comparative evaluation by the least-square method.4) Basing on the analysis above, this thsis puts forward related policy recommendations, which can contributes to the economic development by promoting entriprineurial activities.
