Research On The Mechanism Of Economic Growth Through Regional Trade In Minority Areas

In China, ethnic minority area socio-economic development has lagged far behind. Interregional trade in various areas is the most direct economic activity. Ethnic minority area economic development depends on a vast domestic market and making good use of the technical, financial strengths of the east and their own advantageous, relying on the development of interregional trade.First, this dissertation reviews the theory of interregional trade studies, reviewed the trade and promoting regional economic growth literature. In the main part of this paper, selecting Gansu ethnic minority area as a study area, it analysises the economic aggregate of the ethnic minority area of Gansu, the construction of market system and situation of the business, trade and circulation market. Because of poor natural environment, backward infrastructure level, low information technology, unreasonable resources exploitation and the imperfect market mechanism, irrational industrial structure, economic growth in the ethnic minority area of Gansu is restricted. Then, it elaborates the interregional trade development of the ethnic minority area of Gansu in detail, analysises the possibilities of developing interregional trade in the regional, such as geographical advantages, rich tourist resources and rich natural resources; in while, it points out the shortage of capital, technology, talent, the regional industrial structure lacked of national region characteristics, the imperfect market system, commercial and trade circulation restricted the region are the main factors which made the development of international trade lagged. In the empirical analysis section, the paper does some statistical description, quantitative analysis and comparative analysis to reveal the inter-regional trade and promote ethnic minority area economic growth mechanism on inter-regional trade development process about the country, Gansu province and two autonomous prefectures, Linxia and Gannan. In summing up the conclusions of theoretical and empirical research based on the final proposed ethnic minority area districts, improve the relevant hardware and software through active infrastructure, local protectionism aside ideological limitations, actively participate in inter-district economic exchange and coorperation, encourage the development of the business, trade and circulation of the region, optimize the regional industrial structure to promote the development of regional inter-regional trade, thereby stimulating rapid economic growth in areas of policy recommendations.
