"Resource curse" from the early20th century, has become an important researchtopic, how the scarcity of resources and economic development has always been theWestern Economics is committed to solve the problem. Traditional economic growththeory suggests that a country’s resource endowment and level of economicdevelopment of the country close contact, compared with resource-poor countries,resource-abundant countries can obtain economic subsidies from the resourceextraction and use of resources, thus promoting the economy over the "poverty trap",the smooth realization of the economic boom. Looking at the world situation ofeconomic development, the abundance of resources and the country’s level ofeconomic development is not consistent, the existence of such links between countries,there is no such problem in a domestic around the area, especially performance is moretypical in China, China’s minority areas has always been the more affluent areas of thecountry’s resources, economic development in minority areas did not match therichness of its resources, therefore, to study and analyze the national resource cursephenomenon China’s economic construction is particularly important to themaintenance of stability of the ethnic minority areas is also very important. Therefore,the subject has a double significance of economic and political.In this article, the author seven years GDP data of China’s ethnic minority areas,the interception of Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Guangxi, Ningxia, Qinghai, Yunnan,Guizhou eight provinces, energy production data, energy consumption data wereanalyzed for the study. The light of foreign and domestic resource curse, and analyzethe reason for the existence of the resource curse, and to propose appropriate solutionsrecommended. The first chapter of this paper is to introduce to choose the backgroundand significance of this subject, the concept of the study to identify and research theideas and methods. Elaborate on the significance of the topic, mainly from theeconomic development of the economic crisis and energy crisis, resource endowment and economic growth, the relationship between three aspects of our resources andeconomic growth to analyze the significance of the topics. In the study, the definitionof the ethnic areas, interception of China’s Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Guangxi,Ningxia, Qinghai, Yunnan, Guizhou provinces as the national study, for resources, coal,petroleum, natural gas and other primary energy as resources of the study. Researchideas, through the comparison of the data, the measurement model, and then come toour country’s resources and economic development associated. In the second chapter,an overview of the resource curse of foreign and domestic research. Which involvesboth directions of the current research is the study of the transmission mechanism ofthe resource curse phenomenon and resource curse. In the third chapter, the principlesof the Resource Curse of the specific conditions of China’s combination of, inparticular the situation of China’s ethnic areas by combining the analysis of theeconomic development of China’s ethnic minority areas, the ethnic distribution ofresources and mining conditions, the two combined for analysis. Results on the basisof this data analysis, analysis of the resource curse phenomenon from historicalreasons, geographical reasons, technical reasons. In the fourth chapter will model andcombined with the knowledge of econometrics and empirical analysis of the resourcecurse phenomenon. Chapter V will give the corresponding policy recommendations,and support from national policy to increase R&D in energy technologies and thedevelopment and protection of resources, this research project summary, theinadequacies of data collect incompleteness cause the model to reflect the associationbetween a more comprehensive and objective analysis can hardly do.
