Distributed Webgis System Based On Javascript And Vml Study

With the development of computer network technology and GIS technology, as a combination product of them, WebGIS has become a new hot spot of application. Based on the ubiquitous computer network, WebGIS has greatly changed the traditional model of GIS services. Especially, taking Internet as its platform, based on the Browser/Server technology of World Wide Web, WebGIS make GIS truly become a popular information tool rather than an expert system.At present, WebGIS has been widely used in the fields such as network digital map browsing, information retrieval, data dissemination, and so on. Its service scope and content expands, and its functions improved continuously. As an information tool, it has a wide application prospects due to its low-cost and easy function implementation. Particularly, in the current period of transformation of government functions, it plays a more important role to information publication and digital service of department relating to Earth Science.As important basic and strategic information resources for the province, the data of basic Survery and Mapping in Yunnan Province play a significant role in the country's economic construction in. In order to make these results of the basic Survey and Mapping for better social services, it quite necessary to establish an information publication platform based on internet B/S structure, with WebGIS technology. The main content of this paper just is to explore technology and method to realize a system for publication of the results' catalog information of basic Survey and Mapping, with the capabilities of Graphic user interface interactive.In this thesis, based on the analysis of the application status, principles, structure of WebGIS and the results'catalog information of basic surveying and mapping in Yunnan Province, according to the definition of the system and the need for practical application, the general structure and the functional components of the test system are designed, a technical framework is developed, the key technology is studied intensively, some solutions are offered according to practical problems in the development.The the study of the test system in the paper is divided into three parts. The first, combines the system structure and functional characteristics, using the ASP.NET and JavaScript in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 environment to realize the interactive network, second, using SQL Server 2000 to design and build the database, according to the characteristics of results'meta-data and vector graphics in the system. Finally, through the development, reached the design target by realized the Basic function of the test system including interactive graphics, spatial Analysis and measure, information management and query products information.
