Ground fissures and land subsidence is one kind of geological disaster widespread and damaged severely in Fen-wei Basin. Based on the previous study, the project "Study of prevention and monitoring with ground fissures and land subsidence in typical regions of Fen-wei Basin" carry out the work of investigation and monitoring in connection with ground fissures and land subsidence, received a large number of reliable basic data and thematic data. How to organize and manage these materials using modern information technology is a basic content and important task of the whole project. This paper, based on exploring the spatial data model and management model, analyzing two kinds of SDE, Oracle Spatial and ArcSDE, researches on a variety of formats, multiple-scale spatial data. According to the character of data and application requirements, Geodatabase spatial data model and combination of Oracle database platform and ArcSDE spatial database engine is selected as the solutions for integration of project data. Through requirement analysis, constructional design, detail design, data integration and database upgrade, spatial database of ground fissures and land subsidence in Fen-wei Basin which is based on Oracle is constructed, and its structural adjustment and performance optimization are carried out. Major research work includes the several aspects below:1. In the process of spatial database design, data storage model based on Geodatabase and ArcSDE is determined. Conception model of spatial database is set up with Spatial E-R Method. In order to integrate various types of data, program of divided layers and coding standard are designed. Finally, storage structure of spatial database is determined.2. Using "File Conversion" module provided by MapGIS and conversion tools provided by ArcGIS, MapGIS document is divided into three types of point, line, polygon to convert. The converted data is processed to ensure that spatial data and attribute data are not lost.3. Using data integrated management solution based on the combination of Oracle and ArcSDE, C/S architecture is achieved, which support multi-user concurrent operation. Through spatial user management, privileges management and version edit, the security of data is protected. Through the Oracle memory parameters and ArcSDE storage parameters adjustment, spatial database optimization is achieved. The back up and restoration of spatial database is achieved with the tools provided by ArcGIS and Oracle.
