The history of mathematics is wisdom of mathematics through space-time. The development of it shows us a picture that is long standing, well established and changeable with each passing day. The advantages are as follows. First, the study of mathematics can inspire our thoughts and cultivate our mind. Second, it can help us broaden our eyesight and understand the developing procedure of itself, its thoughts, methods and development. Third, it also can deepen our knowledge of the essence of mathematics and accomplish the course of mathematical instruction in the procedure. Finally, it can help both teachers and students form a right view of mathematics, and help the latter understand how mathematics concept formed. The history of mathematics is an essential part of mathematics course. Applying the history of mathematics to the course of teaching not only shows the value of mathematical knowledge and thinking ways, but also shows emotion, attitude and value of it. Only by combining the developing procedure of mathematical thinking ways with the changing procedure of students' knowledge, can mathematics teaching show the teaching value of mathematics.The famous mathematician M.Kline thinks that every mathematics teacher in middle school and college should know the history of mathematics. There are many reasons. Perhaps the most important one is that it is the guide of mathematical teaching.
