This dissertation is concerned with Mathematics Culture, which is focus on the importance of instilling Mathematics Culture into college mathematical teaching. This dissertation is divided into five chapters. The main contents are as follows.Basing on introduction to HPM (History and Pedagogy of Mathematics), a preliminary understanding of mathematical culture is given in Chapter1.Through the comparative analysis of Chinese and Western HPM., the basic overview of mathematical culture is constructed in the chapter2. Also, the domestic research and its application status of mathematical culture are summarized.In view of cultural attributes, the cultural category of mathematical culture is expounded in the third chapter. The relationship between mathematic culture and other culture is briefly discussed. The importance of mathematics culture on college mathematical teaching is emphasized.The fourth chapter focuses on the strategies and methods of mathematical culture into college mathematics teaching and the basic principles and requirements are given as well.The last chapter, combining with our practice of mathematical culture education, introduces the concrete ways of mathematics culture into mathematics teaching in our university. The effect of integrating mathematical culture education on students’learning is qualitatively analyzed.
