Computerized flat knitting machine is currently the main type for the production of knittered sweater. Its main function is giving various control commands in order to achieve a variety of specific actions required for weaving and knitting done automatically.It combines computer numerical control, and software engineering technology,become the development direction of knitting machine.Directed against the development of computerized flat knitting machine technology and national development situation,the computer flat knitting machine system structure and function are analyzed, a low cost control system solution is proposed for flat knitting machine based on the ATmega128 microcontroller.It mainly consists of hardware parts and software. Hardware is used by ATmega128 form the U.S. ATMEL as CPU core, peripheral circuit is designed according tomodular, including the ATmega128 minimum system module, keyboard and display module, motor modules for the head of flat knitting machine , position detection module for the head, needle selection module and guiding yarn with the transfer fabric module. Combining with CAN-BUS interface and SPI interface, it is operated easily ,is good for software debugging and development.The software part is developed by the CodeVisionAVR C compiler .Software is also compiled on the basis of modular,mainly including management module for document, the basic device driver module, component measuring module, control motion module, setting process parameter module and process monitoring module.This paper elaborates on circuit schematic and PCB diagrams, explains the principles of schematic diagram,analyses the interferences of the circuit. In coordination with Variable-frequency regulating speed,the hardware is optimized and the software is debugged in order to get a good control effect. Compared to the traditional control system of computerized flat knitting machinebased on Industrial Personal Computer and embedded computer, the control system designed has more targeted, system integration above the average, high cost-effective effect and high practicality.
