The computerized flat knitting machine is a kind of advanced automatic kinitting machinery. Compared withcommon flat knitting machine, computerized flat knitting machine features high degree of automation and highproduction efficiency. It is suitable for high-speed and high-volume production of knitted fabrics, and it is mostcommonly-used machine in wool kintting industry. By a late start of the kniting machine, lack of technicalreserves, compared with the computerized flat knitting machine produced abroad, the performance ofdomestic computerized flat knitting machine has a big gap in intelligent level and some key technologies research.So China’s most advanced computerized flat knitting machines still rely on imports. In order to increasethe competitiveness of domestic computerized flat knitting machine and break the overseas technical monopoly inhigh-end computerized flat knitting machine. We should strengthen the key technology research on domesticcomputerized flat knitting machine. This paper is foused on the research of the key problem ofmovement position detection in domestic computerized flat knitting machine head, and a position detectionmethod that use acceleration sensor is discribed in detail.This paper first introduces the development process and market prospect of computerized flatknitting machine, analysis the domestic and abroad study of computerized flat knitting machine. Then the contentand the meaning of this research is described. On the basic of analyzing the mechanical structure and the knittingprocess of the computerized flat knitting machine, this paper discusses the importance of accurate controlof position of knitting machine head. For the drawbacks of traditional domestic computerized flat knittingmachine when detecting the position of knitting machine head, this paper develops a position detection systembased on acceleration sensor. The acceleration sensor should be installed in the knitting machine head whenmeasuring the positon of the knitting machine head. This system calculates the position of knitting machine headby the integral algorithm after the voltage conversion and analog to digital conversion. Capactive MEMSaccelerometer MSCA3002which was developped by Shanghai Institute of Microsystem AndInformation Technology is choosed as the sensor of this system. The circuit of this system includemicro controller circuit, AD convertor circuit, signal conditioning circuit, LCD display circuit andso on. LM3S2B93bsaed on kernel of Cortex-M3is used as the microcontroller,24bits ADconvertor ADS1255is used to deal with the acceleration signal, signal conditioning circuit is usedto purify signal and conver differential voltage conversion. The software of this system includeacceleration signal acquisition, position information display, and design of displacment integrationalgorithm.During the process of system debug, the accuracy of circuits containing acceleration sensorsignal acquisition, output voltage conversion, ADC conversion is tested to insure the high precision of the acceleration data when doing integral algorithm. At last the feasibility of this detectionsystem is proved by the simulation experiment. Analyze the reason for why the error appears whencaculating the displacement.
