How to look for suitable additive for cosmetics products has become the working focus of all material suppliers.On the basis of Rabdosia serra (Maxim.)Hara extracting, combining with cosmetics additive formula request, selecting Propylene Glycol as solvent to extract, I made a study on the anti-bacterial effects, filtered the excellent and most competitive cost of extract methods which do not have influence on cosmetics finished goods formulation stability as well as achieving obvious effects. Provides a new way to extract Rabdosia serra (Maxim. )Hara Laid the groundwork for the natural raw material application development in cosmetics industry.The Propylene Glycol extracting condition is to extract the extract three hour with the proportion 1:5 at temperature 80℃,and the Extraction efficiency is 1.67%.The study of the extraction restraining effects on bacterial, epiphyte and Propionibacterium acnes through the experiment of anti-bacterial, antiseptic and skin test. The experiment results reveal that the medium with the Propylene Glycol on antibacterial area widely.
