Barite and fluorite are not only important non-metallic mineral resource, but also our country's superiority mineral. In the past ten years, the export of barite and fluorite has grown constantly and rapidly, and they have developed into one of the major commodity of foreign exchange in our country.At present, the process technology of barite is not perfect in our country. Most mines just adopt hand picking or ore washing and jigging. The process flows are very simple. Barite concentrate is usually output after single-stage washing, two-stage crushing and single-stage jigging separation, without recycling associated minerals (such as fluorite). Although there is a large reserve of fluorite resources in our country, most of the fluorite deposits are in a lower grade, and associated with some metal ore such as tungsten, tin, aluminum, Peru, lead, zinc and some non-metallic minerals such as quartz, barite, calcite, kaolinite, etc. In recent years, with the development of metallurgical, chemical, building materials and ceramics industry, the consumption of fluorite increased rapidly. It is estimated that the proven reserves of fluorite ore has been used more than 80%,only less than 15% reserves are maintained. Therefore, the comprehensive utilization of associated fluorite ore, enhance the efficient separation technology research in fluorite and other associated minerals play an important significance in giving play to strong points of fluorite resources, creating better economic and social benefits.The material was obtained from a barite and fluorite deposit in Chongqing Qianjiang. The material is 61.23% BaSO4 grade and 15.02% CaF2 grade.It is barite-fluorite-tpe.The gangue mainly includes quartz, calcite and so on. The material has an uneven size distribution of barite. In the light of the property of the material.a gravity concentrain-floatation flowsheet is tested, which obtains the concentrate of barite and fluorite, Therefore, the great advances in comprehensive utilization of mineral resources have achieved.On the based of a series of condition tests, the process flows of classifying-gravity concentration-flotation after grinding were studied.The run-of-mine ore was fed into crushers and then the secondary crusher product was fed on to screens, which routed the right-size into jiggers, shaking tables and spiral chute. The. barite concentrate with the BaSO4 grade of 92.51%, the recovery of 73.76% was obtained by the tests. The tailing of gravity concentration was fed into flotators after grinding. Oleic acid was used as collector. Sodium silicate and sodium carbonate were used as depressants of the gangue mineral. DHY was was used as depressant of barite. The fluorite concentrate with the CaF2 grade of 94.07%, the recovery of 51.18% and the barite concentrate with the BaSO4 grade of 92.16%, the recovery of 15.02% were obtained by roughing floatation-cleaning-separation flotation system.A gravity concentrain-floatation flowsheet was used in the study, which obtained the fluorite concentrate with 94.07% CaF2 grade and 51.18% CaF2 recovery and the secondary fluorite concentrate with 87.11% CaF2 grade and 18.35% CaF2 recovery and the barite concentrate with 92.45% BaSO4 grade and 88.78% BaSO4 recovery. A relatively higher performance was achieved and the comprehensive utilization of the resource was performed in the study.
