Drag reducing agents (DRA) is a kind of chemical product made of high polymer, which is used to reduce liquid flow friction and to increase flow rate. The application of DRA is an important method to improve ransport capacity of gases and oil pipelines and reduce energy consumption, and also importance in enhancing economical benefits and social benefits. Therefore, the scientific evaluation of the performance of DRA is also significance.It has been carried on that the calculation of the indoor test loop used to measurement the performance of the DRA. The parameters including the pipe size and length are determined according to the calculation result. The operation pressure adapted to the conditions and the size and cubage of the storage tank are confirmed. The detail introductions of the test system are given, the information of each installment composition and function has been carried. The detailed operation and attention problems of this test evaluation system are introduced. The pressure system of the equipment is improved to ensure the accurate determination of reduction rate.A comparative test of DRA are conducted, and various factors are analyzed, the relationship between fluid types, the concentration of DRA, fluid velocity, apparent viscosity, Reynolds number and the drag reduction ratio are discussed. The mechanism of drag reduction was discussed.
