With the rapid development of oil industry, the pipe-line transportation of the crude oil and each kind of refined oil increases day by day. To save the energy and the equipment investment, it is very necessary to reduce the transportation pipeline system's friction drag, enhance the transportation quantity using the chemical additive. The drag reduction agent can product drag reduction in turbulent flow and has been widely applied in the fire prevention, the military, the water conservation, the oil quality tube loses and so on. There are many focus on the high efficiency of the polymer drag reduction agent to hydrocarbon fluids such as crude oil, at present, many researches are been done on the polymer drag reduction and a lot of polymer drag reduction agents are brought forward, so it is very necessary to assess whether the drag reduction agents are good..In the chapterâ… andâ…¡, a brief introduction DRA Study on distribution of post-treatment status, and drag reduction of polymer drag reduction mechanism of the different post-processing methods, and the drag reduction properties (molecular weight, crystallinity, polarity, rheology, etc.) of polymers are characterized.The chapterâ…¢focused on the post disposal of drag-reducing polymer and its characteristics in detail. Alcohol-based distributed systems are developed accorded to dissolution, swelling theory and polymer particles dispersed system stability theory. n-Butanol as based liquid suspension is chose for obtaining a higher solid content of the polyolefin suspension through experiments. Eventually the best drag-reducing suspension formula and processes are achieved and the performances of the drag-reducing polymer suspension are tested too.The chapter IV introduces the simulative loop evaluation apparatus for drag reducer briefly. The effects of the PPD polymer concentration, Reynolds number, drag-reducing polymer mechanical degradation on the drag-reducing are investigated.
