Cabon nanotube (CNTs) has got a lot of attentions according to its specialmechanical properties, chemical properties, electrical conductivity and electricalproperties since it is discovered. It is thought as potential and newly namo materials.CNTs has unique one dimensional tubular structure with larger length-diameterratio and higher specific surface area, but according to its inherent insolubility, CNTscan not well spread in the solution or polymer matrixes,so its application incomposite material field is limited to a great extent. The surface of CNTs should bringin carboxylic groups, which regards as active point to make the grafting. It couldovercome the inert capacity of CNTs surface effectly and use chemical bonding torealize the compouding of polymer etc organic molecule. But this method has obviousdisadvantage, during the process of mixed acid treatment, carboxylic etc group couldbe brought in, unadvoidable, it will damage perfect geometric construction of CNTsto product the defection on the surface of CNTs, even more it will cut CNTs intoshorter tubular structure, so every good performance of CNTs may be weakened. Thispaper changes the performance of CNTs, reserves the structure and capacity, and thengets good results. This test has divided into three parts:Firstly, WCNTs should be purified by concentrated nitric acid at the ultrasoundcondition to remove the foreign matters and guarantee the structure of CNTs not tobreak. CNTs after purified should be combined with Eu(Ⅲ)-1,10-phenanthrolinecoordination compounds by stirring at room temperature. The structure and surface ofcomposite should be analysis through TEM and SEM, and the result has showedEu(Ⅲ)-1,10-phenanthroline coordination compound covers the surface of CNTsuniformly. The elementary analysis shows, Eu(Ⅲ) ion and 1,10-phenanthrolineshould be coordination according to proportion as 1:1. Almost coordinationcompounds put by system should be combined with CNTs to get the composite withhighly productivity. The fluorescence characteristics show the feature of coordinationcompounds has certain moved, and the intensity of fluorescence characteristics hasreduced, which is correspond with document. The photoelectric conversion between coordination compounds and CNTs leads to this phenomenon. In addition, theconductivity should be analyzed, and the result has showed the changing of combinedproportion do not cause obvious changing for the conductivity of composite, whichwaves about 7S/cm. TGA analysis shows the hot stability of composite is higher thanEu(Ⅲ)-1,10-phenanthroline coordination compounds.Secondly, through in situ polymerization method, make the composite combinedwith PANI to get the third kind of composite, taking it which is got from the firstprocess as packing. The composition and the surface appearance of the materialshould be characterized by ETIR and SEM, and it shows PANI has successfullycovered the surface of CNTs/Eu(Ⅲ)-1,10-phenanthroline. But the fluorescencecharacteristics has showed the intensity of emission spectrum of the composite is veryweek, for one side, there is photoelectric conversion between coordination compoundsand CNTs, for another side, PANI has absorbed exciting light and emission spectrumto a certain extent, leading to the decreasing of emission spectrum. Similarly, TGAshows the hot stability of composite is prior to purify PANI to a large degree.Thirdly, Taking polyethylene glycol 400 as the emulsifier, purified CNTs andsilver-nanometer particles should be combined at the room temperature. Both of TEMand black spot on the surface of CNTs have shows that silver-nanometer successfullycombined on the surface of CNTs. This composite is regarded as packings, whichshould be combined with PANI to use situ method. Characterize the constitute andstructure of the composite through FTIR and TEM, and it shows PANI successfullycombined on the surface of CNTs and covered CNTs totally. It has reachesPereolationt threshold when the packings of CNTs/Ag is 0.35%. The electricalconductivity of the material is from 2.15 S/cm to 10.14 S/cm. The thermogravimetryanalysis has showed the hot stability of composite is obviously prior to purified PANI.
