Current mining production safety of China is very serious situation, control the incidence of pneumoconiosis and the prevention of dust explosion in the mine has become one of the important events. Stainless steel fibers as a dust filter body reflects its advantages in many ways. It can reduce the dust concentration for the protection of mine safety in production, improve the work place and environment to protect the health of mine workers, it has important practical significance. So it is necessary for the researching of theory and experimental on wet stainless steel fiber layer filtering of non-steady-state.On the basic of the dry-type fiber steady-state filter, we got the formula of filtration efficiency and filtration resistance about dry fiber non-steady-state filtering though considering the role of dust deposition to the purification effect. For the wet fiber non-steady-state filtration, the process involved in the capture of dust was extremely complicated. To simplify the problem and facilitate theoretical analysis, The hypothesis was proposed that cleaning fluid evenly distributes on the surface of fibre. The formulas of purification resistance was concluded with time through experiments about wet fiber non-steady state filtration. we perfectly got the formulas of purification efficiency and purification resistance about wet fiber non-steady state filtration.Based on the theoretical analysis, laboratory bench was set up, orthogonal experimental and routine experiments were designed. Orthogonal test determined the degree of influence of various factors, routine experiments determined the optimal range of filter parameters. The measured experimental data and theoretical values were compared, then the appropriate analysis and interpretation were given.The two kinds of dust collector of wet stainless steel fiber filter were preliminary designed by combining the theoretical analysis and experimental research.
