With development of technology and environmental needs, to achieve light weight vehicles, has become the inevitable development trend of the automotive industry. The tailor-welded blanks play a important role in lowing power and improving property, so the forming of Tailor-welded balnks technology has become the research focus. In tailor-weled blank bending process, springback is the main forming defects, which seriously affect the dimensional accuracy of parts. Therefore, the study of springback in the bending process is very important. The springback of tailor-welded blanks bending is not only affected of differences of two blanks'properties, but also material changes of heat-affacted zone and weld and the movement of weld line. Therefore, the study of springback have great significance for the further understanding of characteristics of tailor welded blanks bending process and formulate favorabale bending process .With the development of computer and the maturity of the finite element method, the numerical simulation of sheet metal forming has been widely used in recent years. Using numerical simulation method can be more accurate research the mold parameters and material properties, thickness difference and other factors on the impact of the forming process of tailor-welded blanks and its springback. In this paper, for the tailor-welded blanks U-bending problem, it use the FEM software ETA-Dynaform to analysis the forming process and springback.This paper analysis the transverse and longitudinal tailor-welded blanks of Cap-shape bending process and transverse tailor-welded balnks U-free bending process. Analyzing influence of the weld-line'molding and blanks'holding method on forming, achieved a right molding method. Using this method to analyzing the influence under different parameters of transverse and longitudinal tailor-welded blanks forming process and its springback, Got that U-shaped bending characteristics of different types of tailor welded blanks and the main factors of springback. Proposing a method to limit weld-line movement and eliminate springback.
