Industrial parks occupy a dominant position in the national economy, whichconsumes a large amount of natural resources and emits large quantities of pollutantsin the manufacturing process. Resulting in tremendous pressure on the environment, the industrial sector in terms of energy saving has achieved remarkable results. Alsothe potential energy saving within the industry has been narrowing, there is also energysaving potential in mining technology symbiotic space. The thesis chooses Large-scaleiron and steel enterprises as the core of the industrial park, and discusses preferencepattern of symbiotic technology and analyzes its potential by simulation models.Under the background of key steel enterprises and integration of the concept ofecological development, the thesis establishes the evaluation index system of the iron﹠steel industry, and divides the actual situation of China’s steel enterprises, proposingthe key points of the development of ecological steel industrial parks in differentclassification at last.Based on the bottom-up modeling approach, the thesis builds energy savingtechnology assessment model which is based on a cross-section of energy by-productsor waste treatment technologies accounting model. The thesis also selects31ssymbiotic technologies to analyze cost-benefit, prioritizes the access to technologysubsequently and builds four eco-industrial park models based on symbiotictechnologies to calculate energy saving potential for different steel enterprises.According to the steel industry development policy and energy conservationenvironmental policy the thesis sets the reference scenario, comprehensive policyscenarios and strengthen policy scenario to analysis the energy saving potential of thesteel industry. Potential analysis shows that industrial symbiosis-based technology tobuild the steel eco-industrial park gets the greater internal energy reduction potentialcomparing to the steel industry energy-saving technology, in which gas-steamcombined cycle power generation technology, COG methanol technology, sinteringwaste heat recovery technology, blast furnace TRT technology, utilization of blastfurnace slag powder technology and so on are the key symbiotic technologies.
