Research Of Greenhouse Gas Emission Calculation Inventory In Coal Chemical Industry Of China

With the further economic development of China, the supply of energy has beenmore and more urgent. In this paper, situations of greenhouse gas emission for thedomestic coal chemical industry enterprises were analyzed. Then the reductiontechniques of greenhouse gas emission were proposed considering the development ofcoal chemical industry, aiming to solve the energy crisis, alter the structure of energysource, ease the pressures of saving energy and emission reduction, protect theenvironment, and to balance the economic development and environmental protection.This research will be valuable for providing some suggestions with the developmentplannings to domestic coal chemical industry enterprises.Firstly, the status of greenhouse gas emissions all over the world and the relatedtechniques for greenhouse gas capture, transport and storage were analyzed, referringthe relevant policies within ten years constituted by the government of China. It iswell recognized that the domestic coal chemical industry enterprises have faced aserious issue of the reduction for greenhouse gas emissions. Also, the plannings ofemission reduction based on producing situations of them should be proposed, as soonas possible.At present, the coal chemical industry has been a large emission resource ofgreenhouse gases. In order to define the emission list, find out the potential ofemission reduction, and to confirm the techniques of emission reduction, theproducing processes of coal chemical industry enterprises were investigatedconsidering the guiding of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC.The emission list of greenhouse gas for coal chemical industry enterprises wasobtained, based on the analyses of producing processes of them. Furthermore, thepotentials of emission reduction for coal chemical industry enterprises located atvarious area of China were discussed, and the feasible techniques of emissionreduction were proposed, considering the geographical features of them and thesituation of China.In addition, based on the above-mentioned analyses of producing characters andemission reduction potentials of coal chemical industry enterprises, a case study wascarried out. Herein, a case of Yulin coal-to-methanol plant was analyzed. Firstly, theprocessing line of it was evaluated; the emission route of greenhouse gas was confirmed. Then, the list of greenhouse gas was obtained. Finally, the valuabletechniques for emission reduction were proposed, considering the emission referenceguide, geographical feature and the producing process of this enterprise. We believethat this research will provide the related domestic enterprises with some goodsuggestions of controlling the emissions of greenhouse gas.
