The impact force stability of LED wire bonding machine is the premise to en sure the consistency of the bonding quality. Big fluctuation of the bonding impact force will cause. various defects to the bonding pad and gold ball, and affect the bonding quality. In Order to stabilize and control the fluctuation of the impact forc e, this paper focuses on the optimation of control parameters and impact force con trol. This paper carries out a method of control parameters optimization based on t he improved simplex method, improving the position accuracy during welding. Mea nwhile aiming at the search speed, impact and other fluctuation problems during b onding tool contacting the pad, a fuzzy PID control method is put forward to cont rol the speed control loop when switching, which assures the stable contact of wel ding head under the condition of wire bonding machine moving with a high speed and reduces the impact fluctuation range. The main research content contains:1. Investigating the domestic and foreign research situation on LED wire bonding machine and control system, a deep research on the control system and impact of welding head is made, aiming at the influence that the welding head impact has on welding qual-ity during wire bonding machine moving with high speed;2. The voice coil motor control model of LED wire bonding machine is built and the three-loop control system of wire bonding machine is modeled; a method of control parameters optimization based on the improved simplex method is carried out, by which the optimum PID control parameters of bonding machine are obtained; and its validity is verified through the position following error and impact experiments;3. Aiming at the impact fluctuation control problem during wire bonding machine moving with high speed, a fuzzy PID control method is put forward to control the speed control loop when switching, by which the impact fluctuation range gains an effective control. Its validity is verified by the comparison with the simulation of conventional PID control system;4. Taking advantage of the open function of PMAC card custom algorithms, the fuz-zy PID control algorithm of wire bonding machine is programmed and debugged and the experiment research of position following error and impact fluctuation is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
