With the development of mold technology, hot runner technology grows up. Hot runner system is used in the injection mold, to make the melted plastic flow into the mold cavity of the heating component. There are many similarities in the design between hot runner system and mold.In the design of hot runner, the domestic industry isn’t very mature,standardization is not enough in some parts,everyone use the standard library respectively. In order to reduce design errors, reduce the rate of duplication of work, improve the design efficiency, the development of the enterprise standard part library is needed.With the technology of UG customizing development, research and develop the standard parts library, to provide protection for the efficiency in 3D design. Generally, referring to improve the efficiency, the first thought is standard parts library. Traditional standard parts library is just some standard model, the classification of model file system for designers to import, which makes complicated procedure. For all of above, the UG customizing development become necessary.3D standard library system based on UG customizing development, which let the designers only need to select and enter the appropriate parameters, make the standard model be introduced into the model. The standard models are located on the server, and the system is read in the content server, which avoid users use different library. On the other hand, standard parts library is not fast enough for the rapid design of integral hot runner. Using parametric modeling technology can make the design efficiency achieve high.This article first introduces the development of hot runner technology and CAD technology, and then expounds the development of related technology. Then tells the framework design of standard part library. System is based on the environment of UG 7.0, using the Block UI Styler, GRIP and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (later referred to as VS2008) as the main development tool. The user interface using Block UI Styler and MFC as the design tool, program design based on GRIP and VS2008, with the interactive mode (internal mode) to develop, to realize the seamless link between UG system and the working environment.This paper elaborates on the related key technology of UG customizing development. The development environment and tools in the UG configuration and MFC skills in the development are described, explaining the parametric design and MFC design with procedure of pressure mesons and hot nozzle standard parts. Finally, a subroutine example is told in detail to explain the configuration and operation of the process.The program is running on the LAN, the database server located in the LAN terminal, users are the designers in the LAN, server set permissions and passwords only for management personnel to involve, which making the data management and user terminal separated, so that safe and effective data service for procedures.The system is user interface friendly, it meets the design requirements in operation, and greatly improve the efficiency of 3D design,solving low efficiency and lack of standardization in repeated design and individual self built database, after putting it into practical use, it achieving the desired effect.
