The Research On Land-Source Pollution And Its Control Of Qinhuangdao Coasts

Live with nature is the basic needs of the human. Ecological civilization is an important part of modern society. The harm from land-based sources pollution has been with us since industrial revolution. Coastal cities especially Qinhuangdao, whose economy is largely impacted by the sea, faces great risk from land-based resource pollution, which poses significant restriction on its local economic development.In this paper, based on the analysis of the main rivers into the sea pollution, we understand the origin of the land-source pollution in Qinhuangdao area and provide solution to control the problem from legislation, implementation and maintenance aspects. Based on our investigation, we have the following proposals:(1) Through careful sampling on different spots around the near coast of Qinhuangdao, it has been found out that clean sea areas are getting smaller and smaller year by year. Eutrophication has been increasingly severe with more frequent algae outbreak.(2) The main pollutants in the sea of Qinhuangdao coast are DIN, PO43-P, oil etc. Sediments of coastal waters is on an acceptable level, however there is a high level of residue from local shellfish alike sea creatures, as well as the total pollutants carried into the sea by rivers. Overall, the marine ecosystem of coastal waters remains in a sub-healthy condition.(3) The main rivers that go into the sea are Rivers namely Yinma, Yang, Tang and Dai. Through analysis it can be concluded that the most polluted rivers are Yinma and Yang. On the aspect of pollution distribution by industry, it is focused on ferrous metal mining, agro-food processing and paper producing. Thus it is essential to strengthen a comprehensive renovation of the above major industries.(4) Through analysis on the current status of land-based pollution sources, it is important to implement specific measures to improve the environment, including land-based sources of pollution prevention laws and regulations, establish a dynamic monitoring and forecasting system, introduce the establishment of a regional mechanism for coordination and management of coastal waters, raise public awareness of marine environmental protection, build low-carbon economic development efficiency mechanism, strengthen the agricultural corporate social responsibility, promote the reform of key areas to achieve ecological restoration, achieve establishment of ecological compensation mechanism system, construct Qinhuangdao coastal waters comprehensive environmental protection mechanism and such revolutionary solutions.The study of impact from land-source pollution in Qinhuangdao area can help us further understand the existing pollution status and provide a better view of land-source pollution to the general public. It will also allow us to analyze the side effect the pollution brings to the economic development of Qinhuangdao and put forward an optimized suggestion from both corporate and government levels to help sustainably developing Qinhuangdao and its surrounding areas.
