Analysis On The Development Of Tanning Industry And Cleaner Production Technologies

Since 1978, our country’s economy has developed rapidly with the implementation of reform and opening up, At the same time, our leather industry is also rising gradually, becoming the largest pin out country of leather in the world. But the leather industry is still a big polluter of light industry, when it brings us good economic benefits. At the same time, it also causes serious environmental pollution and breaks the ecological balance. Therefore, only if we implement clean production, and achieve maximum economic benefits under the premise of minimizing environmental costs, can we realize the sustainable development of tanning industry, energy conservation and emissions reduction, and the development of low-carbon economy. Our country has promulgated and implemented the "People’s Republic of China Clean Production Promotion Law" in 2003, which is the glorious chapter in the history of clean production in our country. It marks that the cognition of cleaner production in China has elevated to the level of the law. To implement the laws, regulations and related policies in China, we implement cleaner production mainly through optimizing the production process, reducing the use of poisonous and harmful materials, and recycling waste.This paper embraces the production situation of leather industry, and qualitatively and quantitatively analyzes the present situation of the leather industry of Sichuan province and the challenge and pressure, on the basis of our country’s leather making relevant policies, through the studying of SWOT model, to implement the target of cleaner production in the leather industry. On this basis, by the analysis of the whole production process and the requirements of cleaner production, research the production processes and produce pollution aspects of the leather industry, analyze the clean production technology of the leather industry, and make best solution.By comparison decisions, this article suggests industry that when they rectificate the shed process, they’d better choose the improved soda ash removal technology, when they chrome tanning, they’d better choose the optimized conventional chrome tanning technology. After the analysis of the X tannery, according to the best cleaner production technologies in this paper, we put forward a reform of cleaner production, which brings preferable expected results. The countermeasures and suggestions raised in this paper to ensure tanning industry to implement cleaner production in Sichuan, have a certain guidance and reference function to implement cleaner production in Sichuan’ tanning industry.
