The petrochemical wharf storage tank zone as an important place of port for storing and transporting dangerous chemical. Once the leaking does it tend to cause catastrophic accidents such as fire, explosion, poisoning. In recent years, many large fire and explosion accidents of petrochemical wharf storage tank zone caused the national attention to the storage tank zone safety. Petrochemical wharf storage tank zone safety warning system must be established in order to ensure the safe operation of the petrochemical wharf storage tank zone, reduce the probability of accidents and the economic loss. Therefore, first based on contrastive analysis of advantage and disadvantages of petrochemical wharf storage tank zone and security early warning model,Determining the use of the early warning model based on extension theory for early warning of petrochemical wharf tank zone safety. And a early warning model of petrochemical wharf storage tank zone safety is established based on extension theory.Secondly, 4 first-level and 29 second-level indexes are established based on the principles of establishing index system, existing research findings, and combined with the advice of field personnel and experts from the 4 aspects of man, machine, environment and management.And the combination weight method that synthesize analytic hierarchy process(AHP) and entropy weight method is adopted to obtain the combination weight of the indexes. Finally,the early warning model of petrochemical wharf tank zone based on extension theory is applied to a petrochemical wharf storage tank zone in the Tianjin port to conclude that the safety situation of this petrochemical wharf storage tank zone.A early warning system of petrochemical wharf tank zone safety which is matched with the early warning model of petrochemical wharf tank zone safety is encoded in Lab VIEW virtual instrument in order to achieve more rapid and accurate early warning for petrochemical wharf tank zone safety. This system could obtain the combination weight of the indexes by entering experts scores. It also could simulate early warning deterministic process of early warning model based on extension theory by inputting site inspection data of the indexes, and early warning level of storage tank zone is final outputted to realize warning judgment of safety situation of petrochemical wharf tank zone. The application of this system on a certain petrochemical wharf storage tank zone of Tianjin Port shows that early warning level of the petrochemical wharf storage tank zone safety belongs to no warming, the overall safety of it in good condition. The early warning result also proves that the early warning model established in this paper is feasible and practical.
