In the middle and late period of water flooding in oil-field,the stratums are not homogeneous,so the water flows along the high penetrated stratums.The problems are high water cut,early submerging,low extent of water spreading into mid-low penetrated stratums and low oil output.If we deal with the water-absorbing section of water well,the oil output can increase.The volume swellable profile control agent is a main type profile control agent in oil-field.As it is easily to operating and the technique is simple,it is used more and more widely in national oil-fields.In this paper,a profile control agent,the QL-HVES slow expansion of absorbent high viscosity particle profile control agent,and the best formulation was determined by the concentration of each component of the profile control agent,according to the technical problems(buried deep,the high salinity etc)of injection wells profile control encountered in most reservoirs in China.Thus,on different salinities and different temperatures conditions,the qualities of profile control agent such as the strength,the heat stability,the anti salt performance,the water absorption,the water-retaining property were evaluated systematically through static experiment and core sample flowing experiment.The experiment results indicated that this new synthetic profile agent has good viscoelastic and flexible,in addition,the effects such as slow expansion and salt resistance are good,entirely performance can satisfies the request of profile control on different reservoir conditions.Based on these research works which have done in laboratory,in August 2012 this newly synthesized QL-HVES slow expansion of absorbent high viscosity particle profile control agent was applied in Luo 1 area di 197-45 well of Jiyuan oil field,and attained a good effect of increasing oil and reducing water.
