Chips-compressor is used to compress chips into a rectangular, which needs high productivity and lower energy consumption. This paper designed chips-compressor which can product compressors of 3T every hour. The machine runs smoothly, acts quickly and has a low energy consumption. This paper mainly describes the following aspects.Firstly, according to the working need of chips-compressor, the paper designs the hydraulic system based on proportional valves, cartridge valves and two pumps, analyzes the working process and order of execution of hydraulic system, calculates detailedly the size, flow and pressure of the main hydraulic system components, and selects the hydraulic components. Meanwhile, designs the hydraulic integrated block, a hydraulic tank and bypass circulation filter system.Secondly, the paper researchs and analyzes the calculation process of chips-compressor of electrical control hardware system which is based on PLC control.Completed the count of acquisition and control signal, and drawed the electrical wiring diagram including I/O wiring diagram based on PLC. Research and analysis the design process to PLC MCU for the main program module, analog acquisition module and manual control module etc. Elaborate the points of the electrical design of anti interference in PLC.Thirdly, the paper establishes a mathematical model of spool movement on proportional directional valve and mathematical model of proportional directional valve controlling asymmetric cylinder, and obtains the transfer function of speed control system. Established the simulation of the speed control and analyzing bode map by Matlab. Corrected Instability of the original system which is instable, and researched the corrected system by some typical signals by simulation which can reflect the performance of system.Fourthly, the TT&C software achieving the normal communication between PC and PLC is developed basing on LabVIEW and Modbus communication protocol. Finished the design process of the system function, user login, data acquisition, parameter setting, data storage and other routine module which is basis of LabVIEW software in PC.Finally, writes debugging procedures of chips-compressor, pointed out some problems and giving some corresponding measures of improving the machine.The paper combines mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, control, software and other disciplines. It completes the development and research of chips-compressor. And the machine has been handed over to the customer. To sum up, the research has strong theoretical and practical value.
