With the quick development of fundamental manufacturing equipment in our country, Fast Forging Hydraulic Press has become the essential equipment for forging industry. Because the merits of its hydraulic system is the direct factor affecting the performance of the machine, in this paper, the hydraulic systems of 20MN Fast Forging Hydraulic Press is numerically simulated, and researches for improving the working performance are carried out,.Also in this paper, the forging process of the 20MN Fast Forging Machine is introduced and, for simulation purpose, the changing of status of some main units such as main cylinder, returning cylinder, the fast forging servo valve and the accumulator of the press was are analyzed systematically.The characteristics of large inertia, large load and large non-linear are considered adequately in this paper, the main units are modeled by using the basic law of the hydrodynamics, the analysis of the hydraulic system,the study into modeling skills and the tools supplied by the Numerical simulation software Matlab/Simulink; further the simulation model for the whole system is established by grouping them according the links and the coupling relations.The fast gorging process is simulated in time domain using the established model of the system under forging load. In order to raise the performance of the system, three control strageties, the PID, Fuzzy and Fuzzy-PID are used respectively to simulate the process of hydraulic driving, as a result, the Fuzzy-PID is juged to be the suitable one.The model of the hydraulic system of the Fast Hydraulic Press supplied in this paper, the key modeling skill and the determined contrl stragety are a method for the design of hydraulic system of the press, and have instructive significance for on-site debugging of system.
