With the continuous exploitation of petroleum in our country, some developing wells in the middle late stage and "three low" wells that moisture content is extremely high, at the same time, sand and other impurities are increasing, that has caused many problems to oil exploration, transportation, processing and measuring, so there is an urgent need to study and develop an efficient small type oil gas water separating device processing, which used in the well field, it can do the direct treatment of the crude oil. Then we do some measuring and testing works. Through the processing method in the well field, it can not only reduce the pressure of the united station, save the transportation cost, but also it can improve the detection accuracy and has important research significance and practical value.This paper mainly introduces the structure and working principle of the existing separator and the characteristics of the common separator, it also describe the theory and the design method of the small vertical three-phase separator of the well field in detail, and determine the structure and size of the separator, at the same time, it completed the analysis and selection of the other internal components, so it achieved the whole design of the separation system.In the part of the gas-liquid separation, gas-liquid mainly used centrifugal force generated by the multi-turn spiral pipe to achieve fast separation, this paper presented the theory of spiral gas-liquid separation and the design method of the spiral tube and determined the number of turns, the diameter of the spiral tube and so on, then gas-liquid separation in the spiral was appropriately simulated by using computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT, the effect of the spiral tube to the gas-liquid separation had been verified.In the part of oil-water separation, according to the normal separation method, adding the chemical demulsifier and ultrasonic heating were used to accelerate the oil-water separation, and also designing a novel corrugated board that can be moved and rotate up and down, so it can promote the rapid separation of oil and water with its own characteristics, then through the simulation of different corrugated board at different speeds that improved and optimized the corrugated board to make the separation effect be better.
