The economic society, relying on the energy, especially driven by the coal resource, makes increasing demands on the production capacity of underground mining.Coal mining under buildings, railway and important water bodies is common in China.After the coal mined, underground mined-out area is formed, which pose a grave threat to the securityof activities on the ground and the surrounding.Disasters caused by mobile basin and underground mined-out area occur frequently, such as ground buildings damaged, cropland reduction, reduction of available land for construction, changes on the groundwater runoff field, surface soil desertification, destruction of vegetation, damages of underground urban infrastructure facilities and so on.These seriously affect the normal production and life of mankind.To guide scientific exploration, reduce ground subsidence level and influence on the surface infrastructure facilities, ease the environment pressureand provide an intuitive scientific basis, an interactive and visual subsidence prediction and analysis system is developed based on the probability integration method and drawing support from the advanced Matlab mathematical software development tools.This system could achieve ground subsidence calculation under the conditions of horizontal seam mining and inclined coal seam mining, support for mining area as arbitrary polygon boundary. As a result, two-dimensional and three-dimensional model graphic of subsidence, inclination, curvature, horizontal movement and horizontal deformation are providedCompared with the traditional means of calculation and analysis software, this system improves in computational efficiency, analysis of data mining and graphics rendering.Firstly, matrix calculation and the interpolation calculation is applied to reduce calculation time andimprove drawing quality.Secondly, analysis of data mining functions is added to the system to automate data analysis.Thirdly, subsidence model of each index can realize three dimensional drawing, andfigures could be re-editedto meet the needs of production.Moreover, exception handling mechanism is employed to ensure thesystem stable operation.Last, thanks to Matlab Graphic User Interface Development Environment(GUIDE), this system operation is interactive and could be compiled into development package and separate from Matlab develop environment to run independently.The constructed model is capable of showing three-dimensional features and incidence comprehensively and intuitively, which provides data support and decision support for the environmental impact assessment and restoration caused by mining as well as a powerful tool for graphical reports.
