Silver nanomaterials with its stable physical and chemical properties as well as excellent performance in electronics, optics, anti-bacterial, anti-UV and other aspects are more and more attention. This topic through homemade AP-HPG as a protective agent solvent hydrothermal method successfully prepared by a smaller diameter, morphology uniform silver nanowires, and its application in cotton fabric cotton can be achieved antibacterial properties of the fabric.Polyol solvent topics using hydrothermal method, using a self-protecting agent AP-HPG under certain reaction conditions prepared silver nanowires. Silver nanowires were characterized by SEM, TEM, FTIR, XRD.By single factor investigates by selecting different solvents, different options AP-HPG concentration, the amount of Ag NO3, select a different reaction times and different Fe Cl3·6H2O choice of the amount and choice of the reaction temperature of the silver nanowires affected. The results showed that:the optimum use of AP-HPG ether preparation of silver nanowires glycol as a solvent selected, AP-HPG concentration of 1.6%, Ag NO3 amount of 0.025mol/L, Fe Cl3·6H2O was 0.4 Mmol/L, under 180 ℃ reaction 1.5h. Silver nanowires were SEM, TEM, UV-Vis and XRD tests show a high aspect ratio and has a uniform appearance, with a double crystal structure, crystallinity is good, perfect crystalline structure.By impregnation method using silver nanowires on cotton fabric finishing, comparative studies with cotton fabric impregnated tested before finishing of cotton fabrics infrared spectroscopy, thermal, ultraviolet resistance and breathability. The results show that the cotton fabric after finishing silver nanowires remains the original structure and properties, antibacterial activity performance has improved, and has little effect on the thermal performance and air permeability of cotton fabric.
