Research on the preparation process of the rice-husk/wood-shaving composite board for packing is one way to develop the rice-husk resources. On one hand, it can solve the supply-demand contradiction caused by the shortage of wood, on the other hand, it can solve the environmental problems caused by the abuse of rice-husk resources. It can bring high economic benefits and social benefits.In this paper, rice husks were used as filling material mixed with polyaryl polymethylene isocyanate (PAPI) to be the core layer of the composite board, wood shavings were used as reinforcing material mixed with urea-formaldehyde resin (UF) to be the face layer of the composite board, manual paving and hot pressing method were used to explored the preparation process of the rice-husk/wood-shaving composite board for packing.Through the multi-factor mixed level uniform design experiment, study the effects of process parameters (density, core layer ratio, surface layer resin consumption, core layer resin consumption, hardener dose, hot-pressing temperature, hot-pressing pressure and hot-pressing time) on the properties of the composites board. Using stepwise regression method of the software "SPSS" and "uniform design" to analysis the test results, finally got the influence graphs of single factor and the two factor interaction on the properties of composite board.Optimized the experimental scheme, finally got the best preparation process:density 0.78g/cm3, core layer ratio 60%, surface layer resin consumption 12.5%, core layer resin consumption 5.5%, hardener dose 1.2%, hot-pressing temperature 170℃, hot-pressing pressure 3.0MPa and hot-pressing time 20s/mm.To verify the final process of the selecting test, got the composite board properties were as follows:the 2-hour absorption thickness expansion rate were 7.92%, the internal bond strength were 0.43MPa, the modulus of rupture (MOR) and modulus of elastic (MOE) were 20.70MPa and 3.40GPa, the surface and the edge screw holding capability of the board were 920N and 620N, all of the properties were fine except the screw holding capabilities. The composite board was cheaper than the pure wood shaving board through the cost analysis.
