Along with the progress of the times, the property and privacy protection consciousness is getting stronger and stronger. The reason is not only the enhancement of personal consciousness, but also the progress of theft technology. The traditional mechanical lock for safety performance is poor, so more and more high technology lock is appeared. Because of its strong confidentiality, good flexibility and high safety coefficient, the electronic cipher lock is used by more and more people.In order to meet the demands of a door lock factory, and solve the problems of locks, a new type electronic cipher lock is designed using FPGA, which is the combination of digital chaos algorithm and the one-time key encryption system. Moreover, an improved digital chaos algorithm based on the random perturbation and the system cascade is proposed. The problem of the safety and convenience in the traditional electronic cipher lock is solved effectively by this design. The main research content of this paper includes:(1) To fix the defects of the short periodic phenomenon caused by the effect of digital chaos, the plan of adding random disturbance and multi-system cascade is proposed. And then, the chaotic sequences are tested by 16 random test criteria, which is proposed by NIST. It is proved that the improved digital chaos algorithm is effective.(2) The one-time key encryption system is applied to the design of new type electronic cipher lock. After each unlock, the key will be updated immediately. And the long time brute force can be resisted effectively, and the security will be enhanced. And, the synchronization problem can be solved by double key backup method.(3) The FPGA design of one-time key electronic cipher lock base on digital chaos theory is described in detail. The main FPGA design content include data storage, data communication, core algorithm and so on. And AVR is used for the design of electronic key, which include infrared communications, data storage, one-time key system, double key backup and so on. Finally, the effectiveness of the design is verified by the system test.
