Research On Improvement Of Tobacco Flavor By Osmanthus Essential Oil And Concrete

The paper studied the aroma components of osmanthus fragrans by headspace solid phase micro-extraction. The process parameters for preparing osmanthus concrete by SE (Solvent Extraction) and osmanthus essential oil by SDE (Simultaneous Distillation Extraction) were optimized by the single factor experiment and response surface method. The optimal conditions were found in order to prepare osmanthus concrete and essential oil with high extraction rate and good aroma quality. Through the experiment in tobacco flavoring and sensory evaluation, the improvement effect on tabacco flavor was studied by adding osmanthus essential oil and concrete.121 kinds of volatile aroma components in osmanthus fragrans had been detected by headspace solid phase micro extraction, most of which are terpenes, alcohols, ketones, esters, aldehydes. Through the calculation, the content of volatile aroma components extracted by headspace solid phase micro extraction from osmanthus reached 2.4%. Experiments show that the characteristic aroma components of osmanthus are violet ketones and linalool compounds, the main aroma components of osmanthus also include nonanal, y-Decalactone, β-Myrcene, benzaldehyde.Influence factors (extraction solvent, extraction time, extraction temperature, the ratio of liquid to material) of solvent extraction had been analyzed by the single factor experiment design. On the basis of single factor experiment, the extraction conditions were optimized by response surface method, the optimal process conditions for preparation of osmanthus concrete by solvent extraction had been found (extraction solvent:Ethanol, extraction time: 3.27h, extraction temperature:44.11℃, the ratio of liquid to material:30.75:1). Extraction rate of osmanthus concrete extracted on the optimal process conditions reached 4.12%.87 volatile aroma components had been detected and the contents of aroma components is 20.731mg/g, the content of alcohols is the highest, followed by terpenes, ketones, esters, aldehydes. These substances are also the main aroma components of concretes.Influence factors (extraction time, the ratio of liquid to material, the content of salt) of simultaneous distillation extraction had been analyzed by the single factor experiment design. On the basis of single factor experiment, the extraction conditions were optimized by response surface method, the optimal process conditions for preparation of osmanthus essential oil by simultaneous distillation extraction had been found (extraction time:2.20h, the ratio of liquid to material:16.11:1, the content of salt:98.47g/L). Extraction rate of osmanthus essential oil extracted on the optimal process conditions reached 0.37%.108 volatile aroma components had been detected and the contents of aroma components is 75.131mg/g, the content of alcohols is the highest, followed by terpenes, ketones, esters, aldehydes, which are also the major aroma components of essential oils. The temperature of SDE is relatively high, and thermal stability of terpenes is poor, leading to reduce the extraction rate of terpenes, while alcohols with higher stability had been better collected.Through the analysis of chemical components of cigarette flavoring by osmanthus essential oil and concrete, the type of chemical composition was same.115 kinds of volatile aroma components had been detected, including 20 kinds of ketones,19 kinds of nitrogens, 16 kinds of phenols,16 kinds of aromatics,13 kinds of acids,11 kinds of alkenes,8 kinds of esters,6 kinds of heterocyclics,4 kinds of aldehydes,3 kinds of hydrocarbons,1 kind of alcohol. The content of nitrogenous, ketones, aromatic components increased, acids component reduced. These components were the main aroma components of cigarette, which affected the whole flavor of cigarette.Sensory evaluation of cigarette added osmanthus concrete and essential oil show that adding osmanthus essential oil can effectively enhance tabacco aroma quality(make flavor rich, reduce dryness and irritation, reduce odor, increase aftertaste, make smoke flavor richer, soft and delicate, smooth), but it is not significant effective on improving strength. Osmanthus concrete on the effect of improve tabacco flavor were not as good as essential oil, no improvement in irritation had been found. The quality of tabacco which added osmanthus concrete and essential oil had been enhanced.
