Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis(SHS) is a new technique making use of the heat from the chemical reaction between reactors for preparing materials. Gravitational SHS separation technique possesses excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance and high temperature performance when making composite pipe lined ceramics, it has an extensive application prospects and gained widespread concern in academia in the meantime. But there are still problems waiting to be solved such as controlling the thickness of the ceramic lining, elbow liner coating preparation, preparation plate surface of the ceramic coating. To solve these problems, with the Gravitational SHS separation technique to made composite pipe lined multiphase ceramics, this paper has studied the changes in the preset core diameter effects of ceramic layer thickness, the different process parameters on ceramic liner of micro-structure and mechanical properties by no insulation, dry sand insulation, thermal insulation.The results are showed that the best reaction ratio of Al+Fe2O3 system accounted for 86%、Si02 additives accounted 12%, Al2O3, 2%; With preset core diameter steel pipe inner diameter from 0 to account for two-thirds of the change process, the ceramic inner lining thickness then decreases, when the preset core diameter steel pipe diameter accounted for 1/3, the maximum thickness of the ceramic layer, The ceramic lining tissue which was prepared through different cooling, it has small number of grain boundary in the hot sand, the low-melting phase of the melt has enough time to fill the gap between the ceramic dendrites, gas and slag have sufficient time to escape, a high degree of density and uniformity of the organization, hot sand insulation has the best thermal shock resistance.By pre-positioned symmetric or asymmetric preset core in the elbow, the symmetric and asymmetric ceramic coating on the inside bend would be formed after the reaction, the outside of the ceramic layer of asymmetric ceramic coating is larger than the inside of the ceramic layer;Pre rivets on the plate surface, rivet embedded in the ceramic layer during the reaction, which amount to the pinning effect to ceramics. When increasing the ceramic coating and surface fitting role in the steel matrix, enhancing the adhesion of the ceramic coating and the substrate would improve the combination degree of plates and ceramic layer.
