Guizhou province has abundant coal resources,among the top location in China.Due to the development of karst landform and increase of mining depth,the water disaster has been a serious threat to safe production in coal mines,and has become a major problem restricting the economic development of coals in Guizhou province.Therefore,how to effectively identify and prevent the water disaster in coal mines has become an urgent task.This article selects Cai Zi Tian coal mine in Pan Jia Zhuang town in Xing Ren country as a typical representative rapeseed coal mine,and selects the west 23 mining area and the east 24 mining area as the research objects. Basing on the analysis of two mining hydrogeological condition and the accident causing theory,the article selects human factors,material factors and environmental factors as the primary index, and20 factors such as old empty area water and so on as secondary indexes,then sets up regional flood severity evaluation model,and forms water disaster evaluation system.By using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) for risk assessment,quantify weights of the primary and secondary indicators. Finally by using quantitative weights and the expert scoring method for 20 secondary indexes,we conclude the water disasters risk scores of two mining area,and conclude the conclusion that the west 23 mining area belongs to the moderate water disaster district and the east 24 mining area belongs to the mild water disaster district by comparing the flood risk score table.In order to verify the risk assessment conclusion,we detect the two mining area by using the CUGTEM-8 Intelligent Deep Exploration Rransient Electromagnetic Instrument. The risk of water disaster in west 23 mining is higher than east 24 miningarea by analyzing detection results. This basicaly validates the evaluation conclusion,and explores a new method that combines the theoretical theory and engineering practice. At the same time,we conclude there are five types of water disaster in coal mine according to the results of the Transient Electromagnetic Exploration.In the last, we put forward the prevention and control countermeasures respectively for the five types of water disaster,to providing strong support for the safety production and management of coal mine.
