At present, mold design flaws and products molding defects, usually can be found after the test interiorly. Repeatedly repairing mold extends the manufacturing cycle, increases the production cost, and also shortens the service life of the mold. It is imperative that mold manufacturing will develop towards the direction of quality and efficiency.To solve the problems existing in the mold production, some research have been completed from two perspective of product molding and mold structure, in which injection molding analysis and mold thermal structure coupling analysis were combined to apply to mold design and production. During the study, it has been found that the conditions of injection molding were bad, the effect of mold cooling was not ideal, the distribution of cavity area temperature was uneven. Key parts such as the core existed thermal deformation. In order to solve problems above, the process parameters have been optimized about different mold cooling channel, whose results were applied to injection molding experiment to verify the feasibility. Specific content is as follows:The theory has been studied at the different stages of the injection molding. From the simplified mathematical model used to describe simulation analysis, the influences of various factors on forming process were known, which laid a theoretical foundation for simulation analysis.Combined with the actual production process conditions, simulation analysis was carried out on the products of injection molding process by using MOLDFLOW software as tools, and the results of analysis were explained, in which molding quality defects such as buckling deformation were found too large.Using the results of injection molding analysis, the thermal structure coupling analysis was completed about key parts of mold by using structure analysis software ANSYS. Through that, it was found that mold cavity area existed uneven temperature field distribution, the thermal deformation of core was too large in the current mold cooling system.Aiming at the problems existing about products and mold, the uneven temperature field was determined as the key factors influencing forming quality and work condition of key parts about mold. Therefore, based on the orthogonal test design method,the process condition parameters were analyzed and optimized about different forms of cooling channel, which was used in the mold design and injection molding production. Based on the results of the optimization, the molding production experiments were done, which verified the feasibility of the optimization.This paper concluded that comprehensive injection mold CAE technology should be combined with products of injection molding and mold structure analysis, in the same way, a reasonable mold design should take into account both products and mold, only from the comprehensive perspective to analyze and design the mold, can truly improve the quality of mold level.
