Injection molding of rubber products has the advantages of high production efficiency, low cost and good product quality, so more and more domestic and foreign scholars pay attention to this industry. With the rapid development of automobile industry, the amount of annual rubber sealing strips applied in various parts of automobile is becoming considerable. The ratio of rubber sealing strips is not large in the total cost of an automobile, but it has the key effect to the car’s quality, so the research on injection molding of automobile rubber sealing strips is very necessary.Due to fewer early study data, the design of rubber mold mainly depend on experience. The production cycle is long, the repair and trial process of mold is complicated, and the quality of rubber parts is difficult to be ensured. In order to solve these problems, the research on numerical simulation of automobile triangular window seal is conducted. Environmentally friendly rubber TPV was chosen as injection material and CAE technology was chosen as study method. Possible defects of the products can be predicted in the simulation. According to the simulation, mold structure and injection molding parameters can be optimized further.Firstly, UG was used to carry on the preliminary design of the injection mold based on the characteristics of the rubber parts in this paper. Then Moldflow was used to complete the gate location analysis and the 7 best gate location of the rubber part was confirmed. Next, 8 kinds of runner system and 3 kinds of cooling system were designed in this paper. The best scheme was selected according to the comparison of filling analysis and cooling analysis results. And next, the simulation of injection molding based on orthogonal experiment method is conducted. In the simulation, the product volume shrinkage and the weld line quality were chosen as test indexes and the mold temperature, melt temperature, injection time, packing time and packing pressure were chosen as experiment factors. The influence rule of the process parameters to the quality of the automobile triangular window seal was obtained and the best process parameters combination was gained further. Moreover, in order to confirm the reliability of the orthogonal experiment, demonstration test was conducted to verify the results of the analysis in this paper. Finally, the influence of single factor on shrinkage deformation of the rubber product was explored.
