In recent years, due to the rapid development of family car, military, architecture, electrical appliances, shipbuilding, electronics, aerospace and other industries, the strip demand increased quickly, which makes the rapid development of industrial production of the strip. At the same time, the majority of strip users from low-end to high-end, the strip market competition is becoming increasingly fierce, the requirements of product shape accuracy are increasingly demanding, and the leveling is a process which makes the strip products the most close to the finished.Firstly, the paper aims at the strip deviation, the asymmetry of work roll, middle roll and back-up roll, the asymmetry of the incoming section shape in six-high tempering mill rolling process, fully integrated with equipment and asymmetric rolling process features of six-high tempering mill, a shape model based on the mechanism in six-high tempering mill asymmetric rolling process was set up, and through field test verifies the accuracy of the model. At the same time, for the convenient use of the site, compile the corresponding software to forecast and analysis the shape which based on the research results mentioned above, and use the software to simulate the influences of each factor on the asymmetric shape processing, to lay the foundation for the defects of the strip shape control.Then, aimed at the problem that the ordinary UCM type temper mill cannot control very well of rid wave, composite wave and other high order asymmetric complex wave, a new tempering mill which equips work roll asymmetric bending, middle roll asymmetric bending, middle roll upward and downward asymmetric movement was made up, establish the shape control model of temper mill for the new AS-UCM models, and research the influence of loading roll gap on AS-UCM temper mill only change the difference between left and right work roll bending force, the difference between left and right middle roll bending force and the difference of middle roll shifting momentum, and compile the software.At last, in order to better serve the production of scientific theory, to test theory and verify theory by practice, integrated with equipment and asymmetric rolling process features of six-high tempering mill, put the shape model which was based on the mechanism in six-high tempering mill asymmetric rolling process on the practice of a 1220 six-high tempering mill, to verify the accuracy of the model by comparing the calculated and measured record shape, and put the shape control model based on the mechanism into the actual control. Then, separately simulated the effect of shape control of high order asymmetric complex wave by the new model of AS-UCM tempering mill and ordinary UCM tempering mill. By comparing the result, we can get the governance effect of high order asymmetric complex wave by the new model of AS-UCM tempering mill.
